The Bakersfield trade show is fast approaching. It will be held December 2nd and 3rd at the Rabobank Convention in Bakersfield California.
There a series of mail-in competitions including Sales Catalog, Video Commercial
The oral competitions are held the first day and Booth and Salesmanship are held the second day.
Oral competitions include Business Plan, Sales Catalog presentation, Employee Manual, Web Page, Marketing Plan, Apprentice, and Job Interview.
What to Bring
Warm clothes
Cash for meals - There are very few places close to the convention center.
The hotel does have a restaurant, but the meals are quite expense.
The do have a grab bag breakfast and lunch that is around $5.00
One night you can go to John's Incredible Pizza. Bus transportation is provided.
Activities around the convention center include ice skating and a movie theater.

8:00-5:00 Schools participate in Trade Show Competitions at Marriott Hotel
and Rabobank Convention Center
8:00-5:00 Oral Competitions: Marketing Plan, HR Scenarios, and Sales Presentation
Please arrive on time to your competition (arrive at least ten minutes before your
competition time).
Doors will be closed at the beginning of each session and re-opened 5-10 minutes
before each new session.
Make sure that you check in with the competition room facilitators. Competition
